Big News: We’re Moving! 🚀
Rediscover Church is moving to a new Sunday venue!
From Sunday 7th September 2025, we’ll be gathering at Stover School, Newton Abbot. 🎉
Why the move? Simply put — we’re growing! 🙌 Since January, seating at the Courtenay Centre has been capped at 120, and we’re outgrowing the space. Rather than double up on services, we’re stepping into a new season with more room to welcome, serve, and disciple.
This isn’t just about space — it’s about mission. We believe God is calling us to reach more people across our region, and this move helps make that possible.
We know change can be challenging. If you’re feeling unsure, our leadership team (Phil, Esther, Matt, Ellie & James) would love to chat.

🌞 Summer Sundays – Where to Find Us!
Where are we gathering as a Church this summer?
As we move through the summer months, our Sunday gathering locations will look a little different — but the same warm welcome, worship, and Word will be waiting for you wherever we meet!
To help you stay in the loop, here’s a quick guide to where we’ll be over the coming weeks:
📍 July Gatherings – The Courtenay Centre
On July 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th, we’ll continue to meet as usual at the Courtenay Centre (TQ12 2QA) at 10:30am
☕ August Gatherings – Deo Gloria Coffee Shop
For August 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th, we’re mixing things up with a more informal setting at Deo Gloria Coffee Shop (TQ12 2JL). It’s a cosy, relaxed space — perfect for summer Sundays.
🙏 August 31st – Rediscover Church Exeter
On Sunday, August 31st, we won’t be meeting in Newton Abbot. Instead, we’re joining our friends at Rediscover Church in Exeter for a special time of worship and connection. It’s a great opportunity to gather with the wider church family — don’t miss it!
No matter the venue, the heart of our gatherings stays the same: seeking Jesus, loving one another, and growing together in faith.

We are then heading down to Teignmouth beach at 6:00pm to witness those who have said YES to committing their life to Jesus!

Deo Gloria Coffee Shop
Pop in to see the incredible space and grab yourself a cup of coffee and a slice of cake!
Deo Gloria officially launched on 1st May 2024 and it was SO great to see it full of people from all around the area.
After many months of hard work, the team finally celebrated welcoming people into this fantastic new facility in the beating heart of the town centre!
We have heard incredible testimonies from the team already about how people are entering the place with a curiosity of who we are as a community and a church.
We’ve welcomed in new people, families and children into our church. We thank God for the many opportunities He is creating in this place.

Baptisms
Raised to Life!
In the gospel of Matthew, Jesus commissions his disciples to “Go therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”.
Baptism is a one-time act during a believer’s lifetime, by which those who have repented and come to faith, express their union with Christ in his death and resurrection, by being immersed in water.
We believe that baptism has been ordained, and given to us as a commandment, by the Lord Jesus, to be practised in the Church, until He returns.
If you have come to faith in Jesus Christ and made a commitment to follow Him, but have yet to be baptised, please make contact with Matt Machin, either in person on a Sunday, or by sending an email to matt.machin@rediscoverchurch.com.

By Car: The venue has plenty of free car parking spaces available and our host team will be happy to help you on your arrival.
If the car park is full there is a carpark next door (Cricketfield Road Car Park) that is £1 all day on a Sunday.

Prayer Hubs
We encourage you to meet every week and pray for each other.
'They devoted themselves to..........prayer' (Acts 2:42-47)
At the start of 2024 we introduced what we believe will be vital to us as individuals and as a church the year 'PRAYER HUBS'.
The 'HUB' on a bicycle or any wheel is a central part of that wheel and it is from this point that effective activity takes place (i.e Movement).
We believe that all central activity in our lives and in the life of our church this year will only be effective if the central HUB is PRAYER.
What does a prayer Hub look like?
Prayer Hubs consist of 2-4 people who meet at least once a month to pray specifically over the following;
each others lives
the Rediscover Church family
Newton Abbot and the surrounding areas
Friends, families, work colleagues
It can be a facetime with a few friends, meeting up for a coffee, going for a walk in your local area, or any other creative ideas you might have!
Creating a Hub
1. Ask someone or a few people to pray with you and start a HUB.
2. Agree a time and place to meet, or pray via a video / phone call. We suggest praying for around 30 - 60 minutes
3. Get going!
We would love to know about your prayer hub happening as it encourages the church, so once you have your HUB set up, please do email us to let us know you're in a hub.
We don't need the details of your time and meeting places, just that you are in a HUB.
