Mark & Nita Pugh:
Mark and Nita are married, have three grown-up kids and moved to Exeter in 2013 to lead the church. During this time the church has grown significantly and they are full of faith that everyone in Devon will have a clear opportunity to respond to the love of God. They are passionate about releasing the church to be a part of this dynamic mission.
Mark has been in church leadership for over 25 years and also led Elim's national youth ministry for 10 of these. He also served on Elim's National Leadership Team from 2010 to 2018 and is now the General Superintendent of the Elim Pentecostal Church. He believes in team and seeks to inspire and empower those around him to step into their God-given potential.
Nita loves nothing more than seeing people connect directly with God and is excited to see people grow in their passion for God.

Jason Ham: Ministry Support, Mission and Communications Coordinator & Kids Pastor
Jason has been leading our online church and social media ministry for a number of years and joined our staff team in September 2018. Jason studied drama at Exeter University and he previously managed the social media accounts of GOD TV and has been involved in helping numerous churches to improve how they engage. Jason has a key role in developing the digital ministry for the Elim Pentecostal movement.
Liana Davies: Families Coordinator
Liana gives a great welcome to all our families with a very compassionate heart. She has been at the church for many years and we are so glad to have her as a part of our team! Liana is married to Andrew, one of our Elders, they are an incredibly hospitable and generous couple with a great love for people.
Dez Minto: Pastoral Strategist and Men's Ministry Lead
Dez moved from his beloved Newcastle in 2010 with his wife Rachael and two sons Sam and Olly and is one of the few to have genuinely had a season ticket at both St James parks! Dez believes strongly in the power of ’the body’ all working together within the church and is excited about what could be possible both in Rediscover and in the city when every part is moving and operating obediently in the graces he has given us.
Mike de Vetter: YA and Student Lead
Mike is an Elim Minister, who joined the team from New Zealand with his wife Amy, and kids Rosie, Zoe and Josiah. He is a children's book author, having written 6 books which include an online discipleship programme called Big Steps, part of Little Leaders Big Lives. He also loves to paint, especially birds and nature. He occasionally likes to dust off the football boots and relive the glory days of his football career.
Roger and Janice Rowland: Pastoral Coordinator
With over 45 years experience as Church leaders, training and serving initially as Ministers within the Salvation Army followed by Roger becoming an Elim Minister. Between them they have had the privilege of leading 8 churches during this time. Roger has travelled extensively throughout the UK and Internationally teaching, preaching and mentoring Church leaders and Youth Pastors. Janice has worked as a Housing Director for both the YWCA and YMCA before moving into Social Work managing Children's homes and a Christian Fostering Agency They have 3 daughters and 4 fabulous Grandchildren. Love walking, travelling, learning and the adventure they are currently enjoying.
Helen Lami: Operations, Finance and Governance Lead
Helen oversees the church’s day-to-day finances, promoting budgeting and strategic planning to uphold good stewardship of resources that support the church’s vision. She has over 25 years’ experience in business and education, leading international teams and running her own business. Helen met her husband, Turi, in Albania in 1996 while serving as a missionary with OM on a church planting team. Helen and Turi live near Tiverton with their two cockapoos, Teddy and Kimble, and love food, travelling and welcoming people into their home.
Angie Nunez: Youth Pastor
Originally from Canada, Angie now lives in Exeter while studying law at the University of Exeter. With a background in youth psychology and years of experience serving in the church from a young age, she has a deep passion for seeing young people encounter God in real and personal ways.
Creative at heart, Angie finds joy in all things art and believes in the power of creativity to connect and inspire. She's rarely without a coffee in hand and is always up for a good chat and meaningful connection.
Carol-Ann Grant: Lifegroups Lead
Carol-Ann has been a member of our church for almost 6 years and has undertaken various administrative tasks for a variety of our ministries. She is also on the leadership team of our Plympton Church Plant, a member of the worship team in Exeter and Plympton and heads up the families and children’s ministries in Plympton. Carol-Ann is passionate about making sure people feel they belong and loves to support them to make sure this happens.
ELDERS
Andrew Davies: Elder
Andrew is married to Liana and they have two young children. Andrew runs an IT company and loves marketplace ministries. They are an incredibly hospitable and generous couple with a great love for people and they bring great insight and strategy to the team. Andrew is involved with the Worship Team and Liana is involved with the Discoveryland and Transform.
Al Whitmoor-Pryer: Elder
Al is married to Heather and they have grown up family all over the world. They run their own business, particularly in the care home sector and have helped many people step out into starting business also. They are an incredibly hospitable couple and are involved in many areas of the life of the church.
Dinique John: Elder
Dinique is originally from the Caribbean and moved to England to work in the healthcare sector. She has been a devoted follower of Christ for over 20 years and has been part of our church community since 2021. Her love for Jesus shines through her life, and she seeks the guidance of the Holy Spirit in her daily walk.
She loves to encourage fellow believers in their faith and enjoys walking alongside people as they discover their God-given purpose.
Diana Bastone: Elder
Diana is married to Graham and they have two grown up sons. They have been part of the church for many years and have been a great blessing throughout. Diana is a teacher by profession and applies this gift in the church by running regular bible teaching groups. Graham oversees much of the building development and maintenance and is part of the wider church leadership.
Hannah Bvumbura: Elder
Hannah is a secondary school teacher and has been in the church for a number of years. She studied at the University of Exeter studying Drama BA (Hons), where she was involved with the student ministry NOOMA. She was previously the Head of the Welcome Team and now helps lead the Young Professionals Lifegroup.
Jean Claude Katte: Elder
Jean Claude Katte has been part of Rediscover Church since 2018, when he moved from Cameroon to the UK as a doctoral student at the University of Exeter. Though raised in a Christian home, he came to a personal faith in Jesus as a teenager in 2003 and has since served in various local churches in Cameroon as a musician and youth leader. He is an ordained minister with Nations Hope Mission Cameroon and a passionate Bible teacher. At Rediscover, Jean Claude serves on the prayer team and looks forward to continuing to serve in this role as he steps into eldership. He lives and works in Exeter as a medical researcher with the University of Exeter. Jean Claude is married to Danielle, and they have three children: Nathan, Mikagrace, and Emmanuel.

Church Session
We have a church session team who carry out the constitutional responsibilities of stewarding the resources of the church wisely. This team is made up of ‘The Elders’ and ‘Operational Team Leaders’ and provides strategy and oversight for areas such as finance, buildings, assets, liabilities, safety and employment.
