Phil & Esther planted Rediscover Church Newton Abbot in January 2023 as part of the Church Planting Team from Rediscover Church Exeter.
They have led and served in local churches and businesses for over 2 decades and have the heart to see people come into a close relationship with Jesus Christ.
Matt Machin
Associate Pastor / Worship Lead
Matt supports the Lead Pastors in shepherding the church family through pastoral care and leadership. He is passionate about helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus and equipping them to live out their faith in everyday life.
Matt brings integrity, humility, and spiritual insight to the team. With a heart for discipleship and a deep love for God and His Word, he serves as a trusted leader and encourager within the church. We’re excited to see how God will continue to work through him.
James and Ellie are the passionate leaders of our vibrant 0–30s ministry, which serves children, youth, young adults, and young families.
With a heart for seeing the next generation grow in their faith, they create welcoming, age-appropriate environments where individuals can encounter Jesus, build lasting relationships, and discover their God-given purpose. Their leadership brings energy, creativity, and spiritual depth to this vital area of our church, helping to lay strong foundations for a lifetime of faith.
