CHRISTMAS HAMPERS APPEAL

🎁 YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE 🎁

The cost of living crisis is having a big impact on people’s lives.

This December, we’re packing festive hampers of food to help people who are isolated, struggling with finances, facing job uncertainty, as well as bereavement, addiction and homelessness. Sharing the love of Jesus in a practical way.

These hampers will be given to individuals, couples and families who, at this Christmas time, need to know they’re not alone, and are loved and supported in what has been a tough year in so many ways.

Be part of this project as we support others across our community, making a difference, showing kindness and hope.

Some feedback from recipients of Hampers in previous years:

“I’d like to say a thank you for the generous food hamper for my family… we have had a tough few years and this made us realise there are lovely, caring people in this world, and you have made our Christmas merrier!”

“I am lost for words of your generosity. These will support so many young men who are homeless in Exeter”

One year, we also supported a family who tragically lost their father and was a single mum with 4 children facing the daunting task of a difficult Christmas. They were so thankful for the hamper.

To help us identify those who would benefit from a hamper, we’re working with the following key partners: YMCA Exeter (young people), Fearless (supporting victims of domestic violence), Julian House (working with the homeless), Young Carers (across Devon), Home Start (supporting families facing challenging situations), Devon Refugee Network (including Ukrainian Refugees), Food Hub (those on low income), struggling families in at least 7 primary and secondary schools in the area, GP surgeries, and many others, including direct requests from recipients.

THERE ARE 3 WAYS TO GET INVOLVED THIS YEAR

  1. Donate £20 to the cost of a Christmas Hamper

Money will be used to buy delicious food to pack and distribute to those in need this festive season. Thank you for your generosity!

2. Volunteer to pack and deliver Hampers

We are looking for people to help pack and distribute hampers across December. Being part of the team is a lot of fun and really rewarding. To get involved with the team:
