REDISCOVER CHURCH LEADERSHIP

Mark & Nita Pugh:

Lead Pastor

Mark and Nita have three teenage kids and moved to Exeter in 2013 to lead the church. During this time the church has grown significantly and they are full of faith that everyone in Devon will have a clear opportunity to respond to the love of God. They are passionate about releasing the church to be a part of this dynamic mission.

Mark has been in church leadership for over 25 years and also led Elim's national youth ministry for 10 of these. He also served on Elim's National Leadership Team from 2010 to 2018. He believes in team and seeks to inspire and empower those around him to step into their God-given potential.

Nita is the Prayer Pastor, overseeing the ever growing menu of prayer including our 24/7 prayer room. She loves nothing more than seeing people connect directly with God and is excited to see people grow in their passion for God.

Staff Team

Shaun Hornsby: Youth Pastor (also Students and Evangelism)

Shaun joined the team in 2014 after completing his theology degree. He leads the vibrant youth ministry (11-18's) which runs a range of activities throughout the week. He loves sharing about the Christian faith with young people who wouldn't consider themselves to be religious and is in schools across Exeter most weeks, making the gospel clear and understandable to young people. He also looks after our Student ministry and Evangelism projects.

Steve & Joy: Lifegroup Coordinators

Steve & Joy have served the Lord in evangelism, discipleship and church leadership. They love getting alongside people to encourage, pray and grow disciples who will flourish in their own faith and, in turn, build up others in following Jesus.

They have been married for over 40 years, living in Devon for 30 of those years and part of Rediscover Church for the last 8 years. They have two children and two ‘grand- girls’, who keep them on their toes! Steve & Joy retired about three years ago but quickly found that the word ‘retirement’ isn’t part of God’s vocabulary, and that He has ‘works prepared in advance’ even for later life!
